Last week Lisa Kanouse the designer and owner of Saurette had a featured Trunk Show at Pumkinheads in Brentwood.  I was honored to photograph the event for Lisa and get a sneak peek at her Fall 2009 collection - and it is amazing.  If you have not heard of Saurette, please take sometime and check it out.  I love Lisa’s vision for little girl’s clothing that is sophisticated but still wearable and fun - too bad I have no little girls.

We all have dreams and ambitions and we work hard to make those dreams a reality.  Last year a few of us photog friends got together for a weekend of relaxation, fun and creativity.  Our creativity grew into an idea of offering a workshop for women - and would you know, the word keeps growing.   Last week the National Association of Professional Child Photographers (NAPCP) contacted us.  They had heard some positive “rumblings” about our upcoming Get Tha Funk Out Workshop and wanted to add us to their list of upcoming workshops.  We happily agreed…of course.  When we got this list and saw our names on it…we all got a little giddy, actually, REALLY GIDDY to say the least!  For those of you photographers out there…you know who the other names are.  For those of you non-photographers….these names are HUGE!   These are like the biggest names in children’s photography and we are on a list WITH them!   It’s really exciting for us to be on a list with names like Barb Uil, Lena Hyde, Brianna Graham,  Laura Novak, JB Sallee, Anna Kuperberg….the list goes on and on….and then….there WE are!  I am so thrilled to be able to share this stage Gina, Jo and Julie.

I can almost check off one more thing on my list of things to do in life.

I can’t believe that it’s that time of year… and I busy recruiting my 2010 Senior Reps.  

If you are currently a Junior graduating with the awesome Class of 2010 and would love to make a little CASH - have I got the nest gig for you.  Or maybe you know that you don’t want the same old senior photos that all your friends will have (you want something funky, fresh and fun… you know, the kinda photos that say you - yup, I’m talking directly to you.

Well… this could be your lucky day.  I am looking for 2 to 4 Juniors from each high school in Southern California ( especially those in the Inland Empire) who are ready to get started with ROCKIN OUT their senior photos, make some cash on the side and become my Senior Spokes-models.  Each Senior Rep/Spokes-model will receive two free sitting - one now and one in the fall, a 5×5 book to show off their photos, a handful of rep cards and big perks for each recruit they make ( we are talking over $800 of free stuff).

Remembering - How can we more forward if we never look back.  Please note that the the following video may have some offensively shocking images of a past we would all like to forget.  I can tearfully say, how happy I am that my children live in a world that they can be free from such injustices and free to dream.
