Well my bags are packed (prom dress included)  and I am getting ready to head out the door for the next few days.  Yup, I’m heading out to Vegas baby for the biggest photography convention of the year - WPPI. Can’t wait to be inspired, refreshed and stuffed with new ideas.

Needless to say, I will be out of the office until Friday the 12th.  I will still try to respond to emails, text and urgent messages via my trusty little iPhone as much as possible.  Feel free to follow me on Facebook to keep up with what’s going on in Vegas.  I’ll try to make sure that what happens in Vegas does not sat in Vegas this time around ; )

Do you remember the title song to the Sponge Bob Movie..yup that one that just made you feel happy and full of energy when you heard it.  Well I must say that I feel like that is the theme song to my shoot with Daniel and Elizabeth.  I could not help but hum The Best Day Ever while I edited their images with a great big smile and now I am filled with enough happiness to last me awhile.

I felt so badly last year when I talked up what should have been beautiful field of wild flowers with my client just to see freshly tilled dirt.  I could not believe it, I had even driven by this location earlier in the day and by that afternoon, it had been mowed down.  Well, I’m taking full advantage of it this year, and trying to squeeze in all the “spring type photos” before my field of dreams is all gone.  The signs of the seasons changing just come and go here in Southern California so I have to take full advantage of it.

I was so happy when this baby’s mama sat at my desk and broke the new to me “I’m pregnant again!”.  I had been photographing his big bother for about a year and could not wait to meet baby Ethan.  Ethan rocked his first photo shoot even though he had just had the big “C” done the day before (just a little nip and tuck) and I can’t wait to photograph his first year - stay tuned for more over the next several months.
