I know that for most men, one of the proudest moments in their lives is when they find out that they are having a son…you know someone to carry on their name, take to little league and such. Well the little known secret is that a mother has her son’s heart form the moment he is born.  I know my husband struggled (and still does a bit - I think I still have a few more good years left) with this fact when our two boys were born.  Girls are fun to dress up, they are sweet with everything nice…but a boy with all his snails and puppy dog tails will always tug at their mom’s skirt tales and hold a special place in their hearts just for her.

…that’s what I think about little baby Ella when I look at her photos as she sleeps.  There is just something special about a sleeping baby…and no it’s not that you finally get to rest when they are down.

Oh to be young again with not a care in the world… now that, is special.

Sometimes all you forget… you forget how blessed we are, we forget the sweetness that life has to offer and we forget the important bonds that tie us together as a family.  As all other types of relationships, brothers and sisters will have their ups and downs - I hope that if there is ever any downs in these two relationship, they will look back at this photo and it will make them smile and remember.

That’s just the thing about photos, they can bring back warm memories of times past…and make you feel good all over.  I just love the way Hannah is looking at her big brother in this first photo and you just know that he is loving her right back.

OK, I know talk is cheap…I have been saying for weeks now that I am going to start blogging more. Sorry to all my clients who have not been blogged - I really do love you all, I just swamped and really need about 6 hands and 2 extra heads to get it all done. Well, here we go, the first of many to come your way today (at least that is what my plan is).

‘K” had been in my son’s class for a few years now and I have always enjoyed photographing her when I photograph his class. I was really sad when her mom and I realized that we were not in the same classroom this year and I would not be photographing her… or so I thought. Mom booked a session and I got to photograph the whole family this time…lucky for me!

Ok…I’m trying to put on my “Jolly & Bright” hat right now and think about the upcoming holiday season which will be here before I know it.  For the last two months it seems as though one week I have engery to spare and then the other I am completely drained fighting colds and struggling with asthma…but needless to say, I finally have my 2009 Holiday cards completed - YEAH!
