Go Ahead & Peek

Boy have I been overwhelmed with blessings after blessings lately… and I am thrilled to be able to share a little sneak peek.

I have had the pleasure of working with Saurette over the past month photographing Mila the daughter of actress Shirly Brener. Mila has been such a doll and so fun to work with. I love to hear her excitement over the all cloths from Saurette and watching her try to pick out her favorites (which they all turn out to be her favs). I just wanted to share a few out-takes from our last two sessions with you - I just love the connection she has with her mom and dad (Bruce Rubenstein).

#149

Speechless… that is how I am feeling right now.  I was so honored to get the call from a fellow photographer informing me that I had been featured on Blog of Photographers.  It is so amazing to be featured alongside so many talented photographers that I both stock and admire.

*@#! Happens - Loma Linda Senior Portraits

Let me first start by saying, I hope that this entry does not offend anyone - that is not my intent.

They say that the eye is the window to a person soul.. and I believe that it is a very true statement.  There are those eyes that are warm and inviting, some that are bright and bubbly and others that are cold and dark.  I knew that there was something electrifying about Debbie just from the enthusiasm that oozed out of her when we spoke over the phone.  During that conversation, her mother shared her concerns with me that sometimes during flash photography Debbie’s right eye tends to be red due to he having her pupil removed secondary to cancer.  I assured here that flash should not be a problem because I am a natural light photographer - no flash, no problem.  Well, when I met Debbie I instantly knew that my feelings about her were right on point.   Her smile stretched from one end of her face to the next and she was just bubbling over with  happiness - too cute for words. Oh… and back to the eye thing - I felt that her eyes were as beautiful and unique as she was.  Different or not,  her eyes just have a special sparkle in them that truly reflect her spirit.

During our shoot, we came across this wall that was graffiti with the saying Shit Happens… right away Debbie said that she had to take a photo in front of the wall (hmm… not something that I would normally encourage - profanity). Anyways, I thought…how fitting… yes somethings *@#! happens in life but we still owe it to our selves to move an and make the best out of life.  Good for you Debbie that you recognize this at such a tender age - I love your attitude and I know that you will have an awesome senior year.
