A Beautiful Surprise

Back in October, I took a day and photographed my son’s second grade class.  I am not quite sure who had more fun, me or the  kids.  I ended up feeding them so much candy that they were wired the rest of the day.  Two of the room moms and I told the kids that this was going to be a surprise for their parents for Christmas so mum was the word.  The kids all made beautiful photo Christmas cards with their photos and it was the perfect gift.

The kids all ask me if we can do this again, but I think they will have to wait for the next school year to find out.

Oh my goodness!! How adorable are those kids and your slideshow is so cute. I am a photographer in Oregon who found your site a while ago, but I have been a blog stalker and have never left you a comment. Great work. Love the song and the suckers :) Did you have the teacher let them know to wear their very best, everyone looks great. Thanks for sharing, love it!

    I there Jenni,

Welcome aboard and thanks for your comment.

I actually styled all the kids for this shoot and it was a big undertaking. They have school uniforms and I wanted to have something on that was a bit more special. If you have you have children, you should try to do this for their classroom too - it will earn you some cool points.

You make this look so easy!!! I know quite a bit of work went into getting them prepped and keeping them smiling. As always…outstanding work! How did the parents respond to seeing their children looking like models?
