The Dudley Family

This reminds me, I need to call me parents and figure out when we can schedule a long overdue family shoot.

It’s great to know that even though our children grow up and begin to transition into forming their own families, that there are still moments worth capturing together.  It is turly a gift to see a family as close as the Dudley’s and I hope to be there to capture any more transitions (that’s a clue for Gian and Shane - wink!)

Old Friends, New Places

Brandon and I went to boarding school together way back when - well put it this way, Jet calls me 80’s girl. Since our families have remained good friends through the years, it has been a delight to watch his two beautiful girls grow up.

Last week we decided to meet up a bit closer to their home - and it was great to explore a new location and meet up with old friends.

The Ladybug Hunt

I say it on her face when she saw me coming.  I have done about 17 photo sessions with the Anderson family now and I think poor Brooklyn has had enough of me.

Well, I am always up for a good challenge so I took Brooklyn on a ladybug hunt to help distract her - and I do believe that it worked.  We caught no ladybugs but we did catch some great photos of Brooklyn playing with her big sister Isabella.

Isabella - thanks for being such a great big sister and helping me out with our ladybug hunt.  It has been amazing to watch you grow.

This is the way I love to approach my photo shoots…with tons of fun

I’ll Be Right Back

…in a day or two.  I think some sick bug has gotten a hold of me and it is taking some time for me to recover.  I’ve got tons of stuff to share (and no it’s not my cold) so come back real soon!

The Bahri Family

To say that nothing went as planned for this shoot was a hugh understatement. Due to untimely Santa Anna winds that made it unbearable to shoot at our original location (as well as most of southern California) we quickly had to search out a new and suitable location.  Thanks to the Steward family who lived a few miles away from the intended location - we were able to shoot on their front door step which was shielded from the winds.

With just a few seconds to spare before there was no more light, I was able to get the shoot that almost wasn’t done (you can even see the moon in many of the photos - lol).

Annette, thanks so much for working with me.  I just adore your children and am always eager to see them.  As you know, I have a real soft spot for Kevin (we got to plan a play date) and I think that he will love his pictures even though we did not have a chance to do the “fun ones”.  Every time I see Gracie - I think, “one more kid won’t be so bad (I get a reality check when I get home).  Let me not forget Hannah - she is always so polite and such a girly girl - I love it!
