Mark & Cynthia The Wedding

Jr. High sweethearts Mark and Cynthia after 15 years of courtship they finally tied the knot.  The day could not have been more beautiful and the setting was to die for. Cynthia fell in love with the Wayfarer’s Chapel in Rancho Palos Verdes - and seeing this amazing glass chapel nestled among redwood trees, I totally agreed that it was the perfect place for them to get married.  It was a honor to share this day with this beautiful couple.blog2457.jpgblog3401.jpgblog2953.jpgblog0445.jpgblog2742.jpgblog30431.jpgblog3216.jpgblog3352.jpgblog316.jpgblog1031.jpg

Jay & Shanna

The day was hot but Jay and Shanna were even hotter!  It is always such an honor to photograph ones wedding and this one was no exception.  Jay and Shanna met 3 years ago at La Sierra University’s freshman orientation, and right away Jay knew he had met his one and only.  Believe me when I say this is the REAL thing - the way these two look at each other, is just magical and you get the feeling that they are in their own world together.

Jay and Shanna got married at the beautiful victorian style home in Redlands - the Edward’s Mansion on Sunday.  Before walking down the isle the entire bridal party met at the University of Redlands or photos and they all surprisingly survived the high temperatures.

Sorry for the overload but there were so many great pictures to choose from I did not know where to start so here are just a few of my 300 favs.  I hope you love them as much as I did (and don’t be afraid to let me know just how much you love them).

Monkey Munch

My kids are absolutely obsessed with TLC’s Jon and Kate Plus Eight.  If you have not seen this show check out the Gosselin’s as they juggle life with twins and a set of sextuplets while managing to stay sane.  On Monday’s show, Kate spent time with her 5 girls making Monkey Munch and thus began Jet’s and Gio’s quest to make their own Monkey Munch.

Gio went online and did a search yesterday and found the recipe for the Monkey Munch on recipezarr.com so I thought the least I could do was take a break from editing and make it with them. It was a real fun afternoon spending time with my two boys eating chocolate, licking peanut butter off our fingers and of course fighting about why I only used half the chocolate and peanut butter that the recipe called for (I am trying to cut calories anyway I can).  Well here is a pic of the finial product - and yes it was so yummy it only lasted a few hours.

If you would like to try this recipe with your kids here it is:

  • 9 cups Chex cereal (any variety)
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup butter or
  • margarine
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  1. Put chex in a large bowl and put aside.
  2. Place chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter into a quart-sized microwavable bowl.
  3. Stir the ingredients together.
  4. Microwave the mixture uncovered for a minute on “high.” Stir the mix again and continue to zap in thirty second intervals until it mixes smoothly.
  5. Add the vanilla and stir.
  6. Pour over the cereal while stirring.
  7. Put combination into a 2-gallon, Ziploc freezer bag.
  8. Add powdered sugar, seal the bag and shake until distributed.
  9. Spread Monkey Munch out on wax paper to cool and dry.
  10. Keep refrigerated in an airtight container for storage
